Congratulations to Adriano de Souza for taking the Title in his home country Brazil in the tough 2-3 foot conditions. He faced tough competition taking the title over Australian Taj Burrow in the Final. This now puts de Souza at the top of the title race followed my Joel Parkinson in second and Kelly Slater in third place. Here's some highlights from the final day at Barra Da Tijuca. We look forward to the next event in J-Bay, South Africa in July. All is still to play in the men's race for the world title with another 8 events to come.
Also congratulations to Carissa Moore for taking the womens title. This is her fith final this season and her 3rd win along with two in Australia. The Hawaiian is looking a very strong favourite on the tour this year for the world title with just two events left to go. Check out the video below of Carissa's time in Rio.
